PHEA Shows and Displays - the 'PH Roadshow'

Taking your pride and joy along to a car show or a run out is a great way to spend a summer day. As well as flexing the pistons, you get to meet new people and different cars. You wander round admiring the other exhibits, and people come along and admire yours! You can buy your own grub when you get there, or take a picnic. All the days are good family entertainment and entry is usually free. Browse your way down the page and see what takes your fancy: there'll be a PH Roadshow Stand at all the Displays - just head for the 'Smiley & Pistons' flags!

If you're on the mailing list you'll get automatic notification for entries.

Don't forget we're still running the monthly meets right through the year and you're welcome to come along :-)

Here's a resume of past year's Shows:

Newmarket Racecourse 'Two Counties Motor Show'

An extremely well-attended show organised by the local Lions Club.

Easton Farm Park: 'East Anglian Practical Classics'

Held at Easton Farm Park near Woodbridge, this show has the added attraction of the Park: cute little animals, craft displays, blacksmith's shop, falconry display etc... oh yes and a beer tent. Good venue for families.

Helmingham Hall: 'Festival of Classics & Sports Cars'

The most prestigious event of the year, held in the grounds of Helmingham Hall near Stowmarket. Some serious and valuable classics here (Gullwing Merc, Countach, Blower Bentleys etc) and it gets bigger each year. Concours event plus blats down His Lordship's drive in front of an admiring public :D Famous gardens too.

Rougham: Air Display + British Sportscar Day

Rougham is an original grass WW2 airfield with control tower museum dedicated to the USAAF 8th Air Force. The display includes military vehicles and tanks, but best of all is a small but high quality airshow featuring WW2 planes such as Spitfire and P51 Mustang, the 'Utterly Butterly' team and other aerobatics. The show includes British Sportscar Day, so there are hundreds of interesting cars of all ages to check out as well.

      Lavenham: 'Rare Breeds Motor Show'

One of our perennial favourites: over 500 cars this year plus country fair, crafts, dog racing, beer tent, hog roast etc. A nice 'country show' atmosphere, good for families. Entry free with suitable car.

      The 'Boadicea Run'

A mind-boggling 100-mile navigational run for charity, organised by the MGOC, starting from Bury St Edmunds and ending at a suitable pub for lunch. Over 100 cars of all shapes and sizes set off at one-minute intervals and try to get to the end of the course, stopping along the way for refreshments.

Please note: Most of these events have to be booked, so please use the links to confirm your entry. Space is critical for some shows, and it would be a pity if people turned up on spec only to be turned away due to lack of space.

If you know other people with ‘interesting’ cars please put them in touch, for the more the merrier, and PH Roadshow is not limited to one make of car! Thank you very much for your support and here’s to a good display season :-)
